WHEATIES!!
Check out what I bought at the grocery store today!! Chris McCormack 2010 Ironman World Champion Wheaties box!! It made me so happy when I saw that Macca got onto the Wheaties box. Show’s that the sport is getting bigger and bigger each year. If you have a chance GO buy a box to help support triathletes everywhere, “I take that back” buy 2, 3, 4 maybe even 5. Dreams become goals, and goals become achievements. Your looking at one of the many dreams that I have…. GTGTG

Spring Break!!
Today is the start of my two week spring break!! Finally got my first pair Newton Shoes yesterday and ran on them last night for my brick run. Lets just say, with the lord and those shoes on my side…. It will be a good year ;-) Week 8 “recovery week” started today, so going to work on adapting the legs to the new shoes. Then next week its back to the grind stone. Planning on actually being able to recover during this recover week, because I have no class. To make everything just that much better its finally hitting a average of 40 outside. Outdoor training is getting closer to reach each day.

Books
I just recently finished a few books that I am sure many of you have read already, but wanted to give my advice to read them if you have not.
The first book was Once a Runner by John L. Parke. Great read for anyone wanting some good motivation and an interesting perspective of a top-level runner. The writing style was a bit challenging for me to follow, but if I could do it anyone can haha.
Another Christmas book I got to read recently was 17 Hours of Glory by Mathias Mulle “Thanks Mom and Dad.” This book brought many different Ironman World Championship stories together to make one inspirational book. Went from Top end Pro athletes like Dave Scott, to amazing adventures of Age Group athletes accomplishing their goals after some challenging set backs.
The last book that I got to read, already has a lot of hype around it was Born To Run by Christopher McDougall. Not much to say about the book other then it’s a just a great book that you have to read and take it in for what it is worth to you.
Other then the book scene the magazine readings have been awesome! Would totally recommend the new Lava Magazine for lots of good articles to learn a whole bunch about the triathlon sport as well as the Triathlete Magazine. I get so excited when I get my two Magazines in the mail its like Christmas with a whole bunch of knowledge to be socked up.
Books on dock…
Again to Carthage - John L Parker
Pre: The Story of America's Greatest Running Legend
50/50: Secrets I Learned Running 50 Marathons in 50 Days -- and How You Too Can Achieve Super Endurance! - Dean Karnazes
Enjoy the list, go enjoy and learn. GTGTG

German Clearwater Magazine Article
Hey,
So at the Clearwater Race this year a magazine writer by the name off Sina Horsthemke contacted me and interviewed/asked about my race at Clearwater and followed up after the race. She ended up using some of my answers in her article which was just published last Wednesday in a Germany Triathlete magazine (www.tri-mag.de). If you look at the link below and flip to page 5 you will see a nice picture of me on my bike at Clearwater . The article is all in German so I am not sure what it says, but see my last name throughout the article so I must be included in something. Take a look, if you read German enjoy a good read if you don’t enjoy looking at all the picures. Haha I would like to give a BIG thank you to Sina for asking me to help out with the article, hope you help you out in the future again.
Thanks for reading, PJE GTGTG
